Welcoming Billie Lee. President, Driver iQ. Cisive Driver iQ.

Regulations are shifting, timelines are shrinking, and the cost of a bad hire keeps climbing. In this environment, one overlooked credential or lapsed license can stall trucks, trigger audits, and erode margin. That’s the moment Driver iQ was built for.

And that’s why Billie Lee is returning to her role to tackle some “unfinished business.”

Lee, co-founder of Driver iQ and one of transportation screening’s original builders, has returned as President of Driver iQ and SVP of Transportation at Cisive. Her mandate is clear: take a trusted, high-touch brand and scale it for what’s next—faster turnarounds, tighter compliance, and tech that travels across every DOT-regulated mode. With industry veteran Clint Hill alongside her, Driver iQ is doubling down on service while accelerating innovation with new integrations, smarter workflows, and the same responsiveness carriers swear by. In a market where speed and accuracy decide who rolls and who stalls, this leadership move will help eliminate blind spots for fleets.

Decades of Insight, One Clear Mission

Lee’s career has always lived at the intersection of trucking and background screening. From her early days at DAC Services, where she rose through the ranks to serve as president for 15 years, to leadership roles at other major screening providers, she has spent decades working directly with carriers to understand their compliance challenges and operational needs.

In 2011, she co-founded Driver iQ with Lana Batts to fill a growing gap in the market. Carriers needed better screening tools, faster turnaround times, and service teams who truly understood the industry, and Driver iQ was built to deliver all three. It quickly earned a reputation as a trusted, high-touch alternative for motor carriers who wanted more than just a background check provider.

The Right Time to Return

When asked why now is the right time to return to a leadership role at Driver iQ, she said, “It’s simple. Unfinished business. We built Driver iQ into something really special and the opportunities ahead are way too big to pass up.”

The transportation industry is evolving quickly, shaped by emerging technologies, shifting regulations, and growing expectations around speed, accuracy, and compliance. “The industry is changing fast, and I want to make sure that we’re not just keeping up, but we’re leading.”

With new solutions in development and the expansion into other transportation modes, she recognized this moment as a rare opportunity to move the company into its next phase of growth. Her return reflects a renewed focus on innovation, agility, and service that meets the complexity of today’s transportation landscape.

A Broader Vision

While Driver iQ remains deeply rooted in the trucking industry, its vision this time around is more expansive. Under Lee’s renewed leadership, Driver iQ is not only enhancing its core offerings but also laying the groundwork for a more connected, technology-driven future. That includes expanding beyond trucking into other Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated sectors such as rail and bus. It’s a natural evolution built on the same values that earned the trust of the trucking industry from day one.

“Our vision is much bigger,” Lee said. “We’re still the best in trucking, but now we’re building new technology, we’re expanding into other transportation modes, and we’re delivering even more value to our clients.” The next chapter for Driver iQ is about creating smarter, faster, and more scalable solutions that align with the pace of the industry. As Lee put it, “This isn’t just an upgrade. This is a leap forward.”

Growth, Without Losing What Matters

Driver iQ has long been known for its personal touch. Clients consistently praise the team’s responsiveness, deep industry knowledge, and ability to meet complex compliance needs with care and consistency. That reputation for exceptional service is one of the company’s greatest strengths, and it’s not going anywhere.

In fact, according to Lee, it’s only getting stronger. “That’s who we are, absolutely. Service is what we’re known for. Growth won’t change that. Actually, growth fuels that,” she said. “We’re investing in our people, giving them the tools and the freedom to take care of clients like they never have before.”

That same commitment is echoed by Clint Hill, Senior Vice President of Partnerships and Account Management at Cisive. Having worked with Lee early in his career and now supporting Driver iQ transportation clients, Hill sees firsthand what sets the company apart. “It’s the depth of knowledge and level of support we provide,” he said. “That includes the customer service team, the account management team, and our operations team. They know our customers, they know the regulations, and they care about making sure that clients have the best experience possible.”

Next-Generation Solutions for a Changing Industry

With a solid foundation in place, Driver iQ is focused on scaling smartly. The company is introducing new partnerships, integrations, and product enhancements designed to deliver even more value to clients. The team is investing in technology that streamlines the onboarding process for carriers and strengthens compliance across every touchpoint.

Hill emphasized the importance of listening to the industry, noting that the company is using client feedback to guide the next wave of solutions. “We’re going to be adding new partners and integrations as part of these efforts,” he said. “We’re also working to enhance our existing criminal, employment verification, and drug service offerings, with a focus on the speed and accuracy of those services.”

These improvements will help Driver iQ support a wider range of transportation companies while continuing to raise the bar for service and performance. As the company grows, it is doing so with intention. The team remains deeply committed to its roots in trucking, and that focus will remain central to its approach.

As Lee shared, with a forward-thinking strategy and a leadership team driven by purpose, Driver iQ is prepared to serve more clients without losing the personal touch that has made it so successful.

A Message to Clients: Get Ready

Lee’s return marks a renewed focus on growth, innovation, and client success at Driver iQ. Backed by a strong leadership team and a clear vision, the company is building on its legacy of trusted service while moving boldly into new territory.

With new solutions on the horizon and an expanded footprint across transportation sectors, Driver iQ is ready for what’s next. “To our customers,” Lee said, “if you have been with us since the start, buckle up, it's really gonna get exciting.
